Welcome to the web site for Boone's Bear Camp. We are located in some of the best bear country in Ontario. We are just north of the Village of Opasatika, with miles of roads and two tracks, throughout the 877 square kilometers, that we hunt. This is pristine bear country, with numerous, lakes rivers and streams.
The Town of Kapukasing, with a population of 9,500, is 35 km, or 20 miles East of Opasatika, on hwy 11. Kapuskasing has just about anything you would need, from a choice of restaurants, shopping, hospital, to a beautiful golf course. The bear baits are checked and rebaited every day. Only the baits that are being hit on a regular basis are reserved for our hunters. Each hunter will be put on an active bait when he or she arrives. If the bait is being hit at night, or if for some other reason, it goes sour, the hunter will be moved to another active site. We ask that our hunters bring their own tree stands, for safety reasons, plus then it is mounted where that hunter wants it. We take you out to set up your stands and orient you, when you arrive, but after that, you are responsible for getting to your own stand. However, if someone needs a ride, or are having trouble finding their site, we will be happy to help. The rates for the hunt are $900. ea. Canadian, for a party of three or more, or $1000. ea. Canadian for a group less than three. The rates don't include licences, or export permits. Thank you for checking out our site. The snowmobile trail goes right past the back door.
